Hi there, I’m Kristy Davis. So glad you decided to learn more about my Silkie Breeding Journey which I’ve decided to name Davis Silkies.
March 16, 2023 I purchased 50+ chicks, some from local breeders, and the rest from local farm stores like coop and Tractor Supply.
I started with 2 silkies, some Black Australop, Isa Brown’s, Wyandotte’s and a bunch of other varieties for what I have now named “Gen Pop” which is short for General Population. This is my free ranging flock.
This journey started as a way to help distract me while recovering from my second neck fusion in a year’s time period. I ended up loosing those two silkies, along with many more, due to inexperience and a lot of assumptions.
Fast forward to today, I want to make pretty babies, and help teach others how to care for these pretty babies.
